Demo Account:

Teachers may request a free Demo Account to view the available features of IE Class. Demo Accounts are limited to only 10 student accounts. The downloadable lab exercises and projects are also not available on Demo Accounts, but there are sample labs available for download.

The Basic Teacher Subscription includes:

  • Over 140 Downloadable Exercises and Daily Labs - Teachers have access to all the hands-on labs and exercises. Most of the labs are kept relatively short to be completed in one or two class periods allowing students to practice specific concepts introduced in the online lessons. From the Teachers Center, teachers may download the completed code for each of the lab exercises.
  • 75 Student Accounts - Each subscription includes 75 student accounts. The teacher has full control over the student accounts. Student accounts are assigned to individual students and the teacher may delete and create them as needed.
  • Online Quiz Maker - Teachers can quickly and easily create custom online quizzes for their students using our online quiz system. The online Quiz Builder contains over 400 questions to choose from, and teachers can easily add their own questions if they are not already included in the questin bank. Quizzes may be stored and assigned to individual classes or students as desired. Students will only have access to quizzes that have been assigned to them. As the students complete the quizzes, they are instantly graded and the scores are recorded in an easy to read report for the teacher.
  • 6 Full Length Projects - At specific points in the course, students are given the opportunity to complete a full length project utilizing all of the concepts presented up to that point. Each project provides the student with specific guidelines to follow, in much the same way as if they were asked to design a web site by a client. The teacher is also provided with a grading rubric for each project.
  • Online Peer Evaluation System - What better way of getting students to recognize the do's and don'ts of web design than having them evaluate each others sites. Many teachers have students present their projects to the class. We have provided a useful tool to allow students to provide useful feedback to each other. From the Teacher Center, the teacher can activate the Peer Evaluation System and students can then select the student presenting their project and comment on what was good about the site and what should be improved. They can also assign a grade. The teacher may also enter comments on each student and assign a grade. Evaluation reports may be made available to the students online through the Student Center, or they may be printed. The grades assigned by students will be averaged and presented as a Class Grade, and the grade assigned by the teacher will be presented as the Official Grade. Students will not see which student made which comments, but the teacher can, and may delete as necessary.
  • Messaging System - Teachers are given the ability to send messages or announcements to individual students or to their entire class. When students log into the system, they will be notified of any new messages they might have. Students may respond to the messages received or send new messages to the teacher. The system does not allow students to send messages to other students by default, but the teacher does have the ability to grant student to student messaging within a class.

The basic service includes one Teacher Account, however subscribers may request two additional Teacher Accounts for each Basic Service Subscription. Additional Teacher Accounts do not include additional student accounts. The standard 75 student accounts will be distributed among the Teacher Accounts. Each teacher receiving a Teacher Account must complete the online application and agree to the Terms of Service. If more than three teacher account are needed, then a second subscription will need to be purchased. Discounts are available for multiple subscriptions. See the IE Class Terms of Service for specific account information.

The renewal rate is only available to current subscribers. To be eligible for the renewal rate, the renewal subscription must be paid within 30 days of account expiration. Subscribers who allow their subscription to lapse beyond 30 days must pay the standard subscription rate. The renewal rate does not include any additional student accounts purchased.
